Healing Turmeric Latte

I'm about to share with you an epic and delicious recipe for a anti-inflammatory turmeric latte, that will nourish your body and soothe your soul.


The last few years I've learnt about the incredible benefits that come with consuming turmeric regularly, since my nationality is Greek we really don't eat many curries or Indian inspired meals and I found it difficult to incorporate this magic spice into my diet.


Thanks to the world wide web a few posts showed up on Facebook of turmeric lattes ~ a warm elixir including the spices which can be consumed to gain the benefits of the curcumin compound.


I aim to have this drink once or twice a week to experience the benefits and i'd love to share it with you


INGREDIENTS:

1 cup non-dairy milk of choice (let's keep this drink as low inflammatory as we can)

1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric powder or 2 cm fresh turmeric

1 drop Cinnamon bark essential oil or 1/4 cinnamon powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 cm fresh ginger

1 teaspoon raw honey or other natural sweetener (optional)


METHOD:

Heat cup of almond milk on low to medium heat, in the meantime add 1 tablespoon of milk in a seperate bowl with other ingredients except honey. Mix into a paste. Once milk is warmed combine well with paste and pour into your cup. Mix in the honey.


If you'd like it to turn deliciously frothy, pop in the blender for a few seconds.
